Question by Speeder: What is a good software to learn to play the guitar?
I have an acoustic guitar, and I know how to play it a little, but I want to learn more. What is a good software for me to learn new songs and chords? I want something that is not more than $ 30 and I do not have to be ordered from the Internet. I just want to just go into a store and buy it and not with the order of online deal-like.

reply to Becca: Guitarpro is a program used to write out tabs and songs, and ppl like you and me, transcribe a song and put it up online. Its not a learning tool. Although you can get better by playing tabs constantly you wont always understand what your playing. Thats why you need theory. Learning how to write scale, make chords, and making progression is vital to been a guitar player…well even a mediocre one know how to do this. Speeder, you should get a book that covers multiple scales (major, minor, and a few pentatonic types to start off w/), chords, and lots of sheet music. I play alto sax, and trumpet as well, and when I pick up guitar a while back I arrogantly thought I didnt need to practicing reading music, cause I already “know” how to read music, stupid mistake. I struggle to read songs like Lullaby of Birdland and Blue Bossa, yet w/ tabs I play things like Laser Speed by Between the Buried and Me and Still Day Beneath the Sun. Right now Im working on fixing that mistake, so I urge you to learn sheet music. It’ll make you a better musician
