Question by Jim: What is the best software for recording web usability tests?
I am using TechSmith Camtasia, because we have the screen capture, audio, need, and a video picture (Picture in Picture) of the user in the test phase. That’s all we do to make Camtasia seems too big for our basic needs, but there are other, simpler software that will enable us to monitor, audio and video of the user’s grasp and then a shareable video file of the usability test is ? Any suggestions welcome.

I would really recommend BB TestAssistant. It’s in the same vain as Camtasia but it’s specifically tailored for software testing. In fact it goes as far as capturing the key strokes, mouse action and even the system setup. Editing of the recorded video is easy, and adding comments (for developers to see the important points) is straight forward. Very easy to use as well.
